Why are we begging God to give what He has already given us?

Why are we begging God

A lot of us in the Body of Christ have missed and deviated in so many ways by asking and begging God for what He has already done. In the past, I always thought that we had to cry and beg God for things before I got them. I thought that the devil was so strong that he was holding onto so many blessings that are mine, so I had to fight for it. But is this really true? Is this right? Why will God have us beg and cry and suffer to get things? Why did Jesus come? Below are some of the things I used to believe in (Please don’t laugh). Lol.

  1. That the devil was holding unto of some of my blessings and I had to pray so much to collect it from the devil.
  2. That God had already handed my blessings to an Angel, but the devil is in battle with the angel to stop the delivery, so I had to pray hard to help win the battle before I get answers to my prayers.
  3. That God answered my prayers the first time I asked but gave the answers to an Angel to deliver it to me; hence, I had to wait patiently for the delivery. Nobody knows how long it will take the angel to get to me.
  4. That God was testing me by delaying my requests, maybe He wants to see how much faith I had in Him.
  5. That God might be punishing me for something I did in the past.
  6. That the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:16). So, the more I prayed, the greater the results; the less I prayed, the lesser the results.
  7. That God may have forgotten about me, so I have to cry out to God to remember me.
  8. That there is a Book of Remembrance with God, that I had to live right and pray a lot for God to remember me.

I’m sure they are more than the ones I listed above but these are the ones I can remember for now. Ladies and Gentlemen that are reading this post, I say this boldly that all of the listed points above are not true under the New Covenant. I advise you to read all my posts about the contents and agreements of the Old and the New Covenants and how we are supposed to live. Please, read them by clicking on the links below.

Many Christians are just living their lives as if Jesus has not die on the cross. Why did Jesus come? Why did He die on the cross? What was the essence? When Jesus died on the cross, He said, “IT IS FINISHED.” What was finished?

Revelation 5:12, “Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.” Friends, Jesus died on the cross to receive all of these and many more for us.

Peter 1:3, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:” ALL means ALL!!! God has given us all things that pertain unto life and godliness.

As Christians, we are not supposed to be begging and crying out to God for what He has already done. We need to first understand our covenant agreement and then have a faith approach towards it because a man will only become what he believes (Proverbs 23:7). If you don’t believe it, then you cannot have it.

Knowing God
That We May Know Him

In Christianity, the doctrine of the Trinity describes God as one God in three divine Persons (each of the three Persons is God himself). The Most Holy Trinity comprises God the Father, God the Son (which is Jesus Christ God), and God the Holy Spirit.
