You are free indeed

You are free indeed

Why do we keep looking for deliverance after we have surrendered our lives to Christ? Lots of people including myself have fallen victim to teachings of deliverance, seeking for deliverance elsewhere even after accepting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour.

John 8:36, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (KJV).” Another version reads, “So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.” Many Christians are falling prey to deliverance teachings, which makes us believe that we are in bondage, under some generational curses or hold that is not allowing us to move forward. John 8:36, among other scriptures, makes it apparent to us that we are UNQUESTIONABLY FREE after we gave our life to Christ. You are not under any form of present or generational curses; you are not under any form of enchantment whatsoever. All you have to do is believe this truth that you are free indeed and start studying the word of God from the angle of the finished works of Jesus.

As Christians, when you are told to go and fast for 40 days or spend a whole month praying to be free from any curse or stronghold, you are simply saying that what Jesus did on the cross was not enough to set you free, that you need to help yourself. All deliverance teachings after receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior simply has unbelief written all over it; it just shows that you never believed what Jesus Christ did on the cross.

Paul was reminding us in Galatians 5:1, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Paul is telling us here not to get entangled in the yoke of bondage, but to stand fast in the knowledge of this truth. The only way not to get entangled is to know and understand the truth of our liberty in Christ. It’s time for us to get into the fullness of understanding what Jesus did on the cross and how it affects us as Christians because you have to believe it to be able to live in it.

Love of God

Knowing God
That We May Know Him

In Christianity, the doctrine of the Trinity describes God as one God in three divine Persons (each of the three Persons is God himself). The Most Holy Trinity comprises God the Father, God the Son (which is Jesus Christ God), and God the Holy Spirit.
